Safety training
SAFETY TRAINING
All training participants are with us individually This means that every “ individual level of ability” is taken into account and builds on it. No one is over- or under-challenged.
The aim of a safety training is to provide the pilot with better flight feeling and to introduce the pilot to flight conditions that he/she has not experienced before.
The pilot should learn in case of an emergency to be able to react correctly . These flight conditions include, for example:
– lateral collapses unaccelerated and accelerated
– front flap unaccelerated and accelerated
– Wing Over
– Negative approaches
– Negative rotation
– Fly to the stall point
– Full Stall
– Simulation spiral fall
– trigger rescue package
It is also about training different descent maneuvers in order to safe paragliding in everyday life to enable.
Descent aids:
– “Ears” and “Big Ears”
– "B-Stall"
– "Spiral"
The pilot should also learn how the glider behaves and his or her own abilities and limitations. All maneuvers are flown over the water, wearing life jackets and accompanied by the instructor via radio.
These maneuvers require a good level of concentration and the ability to deal well with stressful situations. Optimal preparation for movement sequences and the ability to deal with unexpected parachute reactions are very important. At the end of a training session, participants have the opportunity to throw their reserve parachute to simulate such a scenario above water.
In the safety training, the maneuvers are explained and discussed beforehand in theory and on the simulator.
Advanced participants (who have already completed at least one training session) can practice individual maneuvers from the first day. (e.g. focus spiral or wing over etc.)
Of course, other maneuvers that are not listed here can also be trained upon request.
TIMELINE
Meeting point is on the first day at 12 noon in Baitoni .
Our training usually lasts 5 days. The daily schedule is very strictly planned. There are two to three training flights in the morning. More flights are not advisable due to the high psychological and physical demands. After a short lunch break, the flights are discussed and analyzed via video recording. This is followed by a theoretical introduction for the next maneuvers of the following day. In the evening, there are either pull-up exercises on the meadow (ground handling) or a pleasure flight.
The last day ends in the early afternoon (around 3 p.m.).
