Here is the light version of our bestseller:
The BEAT-light even sold more than the BEAT.
Pilots appreciate the low weight and even easier handling of the light version in every respect.
The BEAT 2 light offers the perfect balance between outstanding safety and simplicity on the one hand and a performance that will satisfy even an advanced pilot at all times.
The BEAT 2 light symbolizes the legendary “golden ratio” and represents the importance of our PHI brand like no other of our grand pianos.

BEAT 2 light TECHNICAL FEATURES

There are many differences between the BEAT light and the BEAT 2 light.
-only the basic shape, the outline is the same.
The “X-ray view” in the backlight shows the new internal structure: line suspension points moved, diagonal fingers optimized, there are various vector straps with a distinctive V-shaped anchor connection.
The opening is different, the sail cut, the rods (now also on the bottom sail). The Stabilo is completely different.
It is never easy for a designer to create a new generation of a bestseller. Too often, you try to do "too much" and destroy the key features that made the original so successful.
We wanted to make sure that the BEAT 2 remained a BEAT, but we wanted to gently make it even better.
Please try it out!
You will immediately experience the significantly better and more forgiving starting behavior.
You will probably immediately feel the better handling, the higher agility and the even more “defined” feedback.
The playful ease with which you dance to the front of the thermal pack is unique!

At the request of many pilots, the BEAT 2 has only robust, coated lines on the brake and stabilizer, which stand out clearly from the ground in their orange color.
With this decision we follow our conviction that paragliding must become easier again!

BEAT 2 light Designer's Note

I flew a lot with the BEAT and BEAT light and enjoyed the very high level of comfort. It was not without reason that the BEAT (especially the light version) was our bestseller.
It was not easy to find some "weak points" that needed to be improved. In the end, we improved the start, reduced the weight, further improved the response to extreme maneuvers and made the handling much smoother and more agile. The cleaner surface and the changed sail tension noticeably improve the performance. Therefore, we are very sure that the BEAT 2 will be even more successful than its predecessor.
