A new era in lightweight construction!

The MAESTRO 2 sets a new standard in the high-B segment. The MAESTRO 2 light offers the same performance and flight dynamics in a lightweight design.
With 76 cells, additional mini ribs and some new technologies, the MAESTRO 2 has an unprecedented shape and surface. Thanks to our highly developed lightweight technology, we have achieved a very low weight - despite the high cell count and complexity.

MAESTRO 2 light – Technical Features

After numerous simulated designs and real prototypes, we developed a highly complex concept to achieve an incomparably clean surface and very high dimensional stability.
The increased number of cells (76 cells compared to 60 in the predecessor) in combination with the optimized 3D shaping, the new dimensionally stable rods and the additional mini ribs on the leading edge ensure a significant reduction in wrinkles in the critical area for high speed and lift of the wing.

The result is not only better performance at all speeds, the airflow remains more stable: the maximum lift is higher, the flyable angle of attack is larger: flying at low speeds is excellent, handling is more forgiving (longer braking distances), and this takes thermal flying to a new level.

We have continuously optimized and achieved new standards in the well-known safety/performance ratio. During the optimization process, we checked every design element for its necessity: Some mini ribs on the trailing edge, rods in the lower sail and some rods in the wing tips were removed. This means that the MAESTRO 2 is ultimately only minimally heavier than its predecessor and yet still attractively priced. The reduction in rods also enables easy, compact packing. The MAESTRO 2 only has rods where they are really necessary.

It was important to us to achieve the same clean surface with the light version. The choice of materials, their orientation and dimensions were tested in several prototypes to ensure good dimensional stability and durability. Ultimately, the MAESTRO 2 light offers the same performance and flight behavior as the normal version - with even more dynamic handling due to the lower weight of the canopy.
