PI3

For years, the PI series from Advance has offered the ultimate hike & fly package, combining lightness with high performance and lots of fun. The PI 3 is available in sizes 16, 19, 21, 23, 25 and 27 and is even lighter and more compact than its predecessors.

Depending on the wing loading, the PI meets 3 different pilot needs:

Normal wing loading (~3.5 kg/m²): Ideal for thermal flying.

Higher surface load (from 4 kg/m²): Perfect for hike & fly adventures.

High wing loading (from 4.5 kg/m²): Suitable as an action wing.

Thanks to the different sizes, pilots can choose exactly the right wing for their specific requirements, be it for relaxed thermal flights, ambitious hike & fly tours or dynamic action flights.

Size-dependent properties:

Sizes 16 and 19:

Focus: Extreme Hike & Fly or Climb & Fly adventures.

Materials: Nitinol wire on the leading edge and extremely light Dominico 10D cloth.

Wing loading: These sizes are uncompromisingly optimized for minimal weight and volume, ideal for pilots looking for maximum mobility and minimal packing dimensions.

Sizes 21, 23, 25 and 27:

Focus: More handiness and durability.

Materials: Porcher Skytex 27g cloth and nylon wire for structural stability.

Wing Loading: These sizes are versatile and offer a balanced mix of weight and durability, ideal for longer flights and a variety of flight conditions.

Choose your size depending on the desired area of use. The table below shows the ideal weight ranges for thermals, hike & fly and miniwing. The requirements for the pilot and the approvals depending on the payload can be seen in the "Technical data" table.

These features make the PI 3 a versatile and capable paraglider for a wide range of pilot requirements.
